Report: Chicago Sun-Times to endorse Rauner for governor

Chicago Sun-Times building
Longtime Chicago media writer Robert Feder writes in his blog that the Chicago Sun-Times, which said it was out of the political endorsement business three years ago, is throwing its hat back into the ring.

And that's not all. Feder says the Sun-Times, Illinois' second-most read newspaper, will be endorsing Republican Bruce Rauner over the unpopular Chicago Democrat Pat Quinn.

If Feder is correct, and I wager he is, then Rauner, a political newcomer, will achieve a rare Chicago-area grand slam--collecting all four of the region's major media endorsements.
